Seferihisar was the first district in Turkey to earn the Cittaslow (slow city) title. The village of Sığacık built inside a castle, the ancient city of Teos, Akkum and Ekmeksiz beaches and local producers' markets are its highlights. It is an ideal route for a calm Aegean weekend and local flavours.
Seferihisar is reached via the İzmir–Çeşme motorway and then a road heading south, partly along the coast. On summer weekends parking around Sığacık can be limited. Please state whether you are going to Sığacık, Akkum or the town centre, as they are separate places.
